This booking includes the full Burns Market — a beautifully restored 1920s grocery store turned 1-bedroom/1-bath retreat — plus exclusive access to The Sheepherder Suite, a vintage-inspired sheep wagon tucked into the private yard, sleeping two more in luxury bedding beneath a canopy of pine and steel.

THE SHEEPHERDER — YOUR OUTDOOR ROOM

The Sheepherder is a modern spin on a traditional sheep wagon — reimagined as cozy sleeping quarters for two, with all the character and none of the roughing it.

Inside you'll find:

• Full-sized bed with luxury bedding — including Pendleton and Pendleton-inspired blankets, new and vintage

• Seating area

• Pull-out dining table

• Lighting, a fan, and a heater for cool Wyoming nights

• The same elevated amenity approach as the main house

We ask this with a lot of love — and for this particular listing, we mean it more than usual.

If you need climate control at all times, if the word "outdoor" in "outdoor sleeping" gives you pause, if a bathroom that requires a short walk across a private yard sounds like a dealbreaker rather than an adventure, our Tree Area Classic might be a better fit for your group, and we'll happily point you there. It sleeps up to eight — under a *real* roof.

But if you're comfortable with unpredictable Wyoming weather, if you find the idea of sleeping beneath a canopy of pine and steel in a vintage-inspired sheep wagon genuinely exciting, if a cool morning stumble across a string-lit yard for coffee sounds more romantic than inconvenient — then you are exactly who we built this for.

The Sheepherder isn't for everyone. It's not supposed to be. It's for couples who want a story to tell, families who believe the best memories happen slightly outside the comfort zone, and any traveler who thinks a little adventure is the whole point.

A few things worth knowing before you book:

— The Sheepherder doesn't have a private bathroom. Guests walk across the yard to the beautiful full bath inside Burns Market. It's a 30-second walk. Bring a robe and enjoy the stars.

— Wyoming mornings can be crisp. The Sheepherder has a heater and luxury bedding. Still, we recommend checking the forecast and packing a layer—maybe even a sleeping bag and your favorite fleece-and-puffy-down combo.

— The Sheepherder is a cozy space — intentionally so. If you need room to spread out, Burns Market's bedroom is your base.

COOKING & EATING

The Burns Market's full kitchen is stocked and ready for the whole group:

Olive oil & basic cooking spices

Equipment: utensils, pots/pans, toaster, blender, coffee maker, Chemex, tea kettle, milk frother

Easy mornings: locally roasted coffee, tea, cream, sugar, hot chocolate, organic oats, to-go cups

Just a 5-minute walk from some of Laramie's best restaurants, bars, bakeries, and coffee shops — though with a yard this good, you may not make it that far.

The main house is built for unwinding. Stretch out on the leather sofa in front of the gas fireplace or claim the suede chaise in the glass-brick window seat and watch trains roll by. Amenities include:

SLEEPING IN

Burns Market's custom-built king — made from materials found on site during the renovation — is topped with a medium-firm mattress, a plush pillow-top cover, premium cotton percale sheets, a linen duvet, and velvet blackout curtains.

The Sheepherder's full-sized bed is dressed in luxury bedding — including a curated mix of new and vintage Pendleton blankets — designed for genuine rest beneath a canopy of pine and steel.

BATHROOM

One full bathroom in Burns Market serves the whole property — plush sheet-sized towels, premium bath products, and extra essentials stocked just in case. The hand-painted mural celebrating West Side culture and history is a guest favorite. Sheepherder guests take a short walk across the private yard to reach it — see our note above.

LAUNDRY

Washer and dryer, detergent, stain remover, iron + ironing board, and a handheld steamer — all available for the group's use.

BACKYARD OASIS

The yard is the heart of this experience. String lights, a pollinator garden, a charcoal grill, a fire pit, and The Sheepherder parked in the corner — it's the kind of outdoor space that turns a night into a memory. Whether it's a slow morning coffee or a late-night fire, the yard is yours.
